Get to know me

December 22nd, 2009 at 4:19 pm by Jordan Carson, The F4CE of 4! under The F4CE of 4

jordan blog 10So, I was sitting at my new desk at WOTV.  I was logged onto Facebook, and going over some of the exciting places that people were suggesting that I go to this year.  And I realized… besides what has aired on television (the interviews, promos, and finale) many of you many not really know that much about me!  Since I will be meeting so many of you out in the community this year, it may be fun to tell you a little about who Jordan really is….

What is it like being the new Face of 4?
I am still a little on cloud nine!  I have a new desk, which is covered with finale pictures, and lots of Ellen stuff! I really enjoy working with the people at WOTV.  Everyone is so nice, and supportive, and I feel right at home here!

Family and Pets?
I am very close to my family.  They are my biggest supporters!  My mom, dad, and of course my son. (LOL) My son is my Toy Yorkie- a dog named “Sammy”!  (you can watch him on the finale video at wotv.com).  My best friends are also like family, and I am very close to each of them as well!

Favorite Food?
Any kind of Pasta!  I looooove Italian food!  Right now my guilty pleasure is “Noodles & Company)!  If you have never been there…you must go in and get the Butter Noodles with Parmesan crusted chicken!  Seriously-to die for!

Favorite Movie?
I love comedy and romantic comedy.  I have too many favorites to count but I like: Elf, Old School, Happy Feet, Nights in Rodante, The Notebook, A Christmas Story, and a lot more!

Favorite Candy?
Snickers

Favorite Music?
Everything from Sade, Michael Bubble, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, The Pussycat Dolls…..

Things you would like to learn to do?
Play cards-(I’m no good-at all), surfing, sign language, and skiing!

What would you like to accomplish this year?
I would like to cover and take part in as many different community events as possible this year!  I would like to interview different people from all different walks of life, so that I can showcase the immense diversity we have here in West Michigan.  Not only in our community events, and arts, but also in our residents!

Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I would love to have a home here with the team at WOTV.  I love children, so hopefully I will get married and have children, and volunteer with a few local non-profit organizations, where I can give back to my West Michigan community!

Anything else you’d like to know about me?  Leave me a comment!

Hi Jordan. More congrats from your constituency ! Comstock Park, CMU and now Wood TV are blessed having you a part of their community ! I hope you continue to allow us all to share your dreams here in West Michigan. Some day there will be an extremely lucky man and children in your life ! President Obama has surprised a couple local communities including those of us in Kalamazoo. I now work here while my family still lives in Fremont, north of Comstock Park. I noticed you are sponsored by a clothing store here in Kalamazoo so I was wondering when you are here ? I now manage the Holiday Lanes Bowling Center located next to the Holiday Inn, Stadium Dr at 131. We work with various agencies such as Blind Bowlers and Big Brothers/Sisters. A youth league will once again be starting up in a few weeks and I was wondering if you could stop in and say hello to our young bowlers. More inspiration, certainly, for this community ! Just send a note on the possibility, I know you are busy. Thanks so much and keep up your great work ! Dwight

Yes....!! I want to know WHAT you were hired to do at TV 4. I have read EVERYTHING about you and
NOWHERE does it say anything about what you do at tv 4! How could anyone have missed that? What

  • Hello, Jordan. I've written a young adult fantasy novel called "Noggle Stones". It takes place right here in Michiana in 1899. Many professionals have praised Noggle Stones for its unique storyline and characters.

"It's great fun!" - Barry Cunningham, the Publisher who discovered Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling

"In the tradition of Tolkien and Rowling, Wil carves out his own territory in the fantasy genre with this fast-paced, richly peopled tale." - Ernie Colón, former DC Comics editor.

We have several licensing deals in place for Noggle Stones, including an archery line with 3Rivers Archery, the world's largest traditional archery supplier. In addition, Sanguine Productions is developing a Noggle Stones role-playing game due out in 2010. We are also developing a Noggle Stones collectible card game with TOG Entertainment due out in February/March. And we have signed with Clayton Brown of Cyclone Studios to develop a line of Noggle Stones action figures and toys.

If you would be interested in interviewing me about Noggle Stones, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm more than happy to provide you with a complimentary copy of the novel.

    Sincerely,

    Wil Radcliffe

Hi Jordan. How about a bio; where did you work before you became the face of 4? Where did you go to high school? Did you go to college? If so, where?
  • Jordan Carson
Hi Jacki! Thank you for the comment! I am in the process of adding a bio today! :) But to answer some of your questions... Before I became the Face of 4, I worked in Marketing full time for a large company here in Michigan, and also worked as a dancer and ambassador for the NBA-Detroit Pistons Organization.
For three years, and still today, I work as a vehicle specialist and national public speaker for the International Auto Shows-which allows me to travel across the country promoting a great automotive company! I went to high school right here in West Michigan at Comstock Park High School, and also graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcast Communications, and a minor in Dance.
I have always wanted to utilize my degree in broadcasting, so this opportunity is amazing, and truely a blessing. :) I hope I get the opportunity to meet you this year! Drop me a line anytime! Happy New Year!
